Hey guys, some quick questions before i do my hotswap.

1. How much time do i have for the hotswap (ie. 4 seconds to complete the swap)
2. What if i don't do it in this time?
3. Error codes 5,6,7 and 21 can still be hotswapped right?

Hey i hot swapped the other day and i had a few prolbems doing it, as in it did not work like 20 times then i read a few more posted and researched and woke up in the morning after reading bout it and the only method that worked was the following:

Disconnect the dvd rom ide cable from the xbox
Hook the hard drive to the pc power supply and boot both at the same time
You will get an error 11, then this happen disconnect the ide cable form the xbox and hot swap
You have to discononect the ide cable from the middle of you wiggle it a bit to the right and a bit to the left it locks up, its going to be more or less instant disconnect, then once its disconnected you have as long as you want to hop swap it, it took me bout 30 secs to connect to pc!

I got it to work using the pause audio method:

Play a track off of the hd and then pause and immediately swap.

My question now is that UnleashX is installed and i didnt get an option to install EvoX instead, is there anyway i can install evox so i can backup my eeprom or am i stuck with it ?

You can try installing EvoX as an application to be loaded by UnleashX.

Create a folder in 'E:\Apps', and in it, place EvoX's executable (renamed to 'default.xbe') and configuration file (evox.ini).

it depens on what you want to do with your xbox.
