My friend recently bricked his 360 drive, and had bought a new one. I have the bricked drives key, and I need to install it on the new one then flash it. The thing is, I would have to flash it with MY xbox, not the one with the right drive key on the motherboard. When I plug in the drive and get ready to flash it, the green power light just keeps flashing.. Is it possible to flash this thing with my xbox?

Can you please tell me how to change the drive key with xtreme boot maker? Should I do a basic restore disc? I can't do advanced restore because it won't dump the new disc drive key.. It says no drive detected. And how would I know if the drive is bricked or not? I am afraid I might have bricked the new one!
