That i've read this somewhere:

You can't restore your firmware through an USB-SATA connecter IF your drive is firmware stealthed.. -but I just can't find it on these forums?

Am I totally off, or is this one of the times where my mind isn't lying?

The scenario is: My friend asked me to hack his xbox with the new iXtreme, and he currently has a stealth firmware (the one that came before the iXtreme ones). Will I be able to hook it up through USB-SATA, restore and hack again with iXtreme? Its an old hitachi drive (not 0079), BTW.

That should be pretty easy, just restore and reflash with latest Ixtreme.
