i am trying to flash my hitachi 59b drive with XTRM-HITACHI-6IN1-V1_2r1 and it is not completing. i sometimes get this error:

DeviceIOControl() failed 0
failed to execute flasher (sense: 05/26/00)

i get this on a different sector each time.
it also sometimes completes without one of these errors but when it gets to the end it says flashing did not complete and i have to try again.
is it ok if i stop trying to flash with this and try something else? i have orig.bin of a previous flash of this drive.

that package is not good , Xtrem 1,2 is real old, you need to use iXtreme 1.2.

check the release section, for the list of all firmware.

when i use ixtreme it gets past the 1st stage of flashing then gives me an error saying the hitachi drive isn't flashing, and tells me the 3 things to do. i have tried all of them and none works. it sometimes gives me that IO error too.

Why arent you using Birdy Flasher 2.2? Im using that one on all my hitachi drives, in windows, with xecuter connectivity kit for automatic mode-b.. takes like 10 seconds to flash..
