Is The Hitachi Drive Mod-able Yet?

I think I remember something about them not being mod-able yet, but that was a long time ago so I'm checking in. I have a Hitachi drive (don't know what version) in my 360 elite.

With out knowing the version how do you want to know if its Ixtremed yet?
Yes they are, HI drives are

if you have hitachi 79fk, you will need a passkey chip to put the drive into modeB. if you have any other type of hitachi, you can mod it 100% software only.

do you have to open it up to tell what version it is?
