So, I took apart my modded xbox, to switch out the DVD drive with another I had to see if it did the same thing. I switched the DVD drives & installed & hooked everything up all correctly, I jsut didnt put the xbox case lid back on. I go & turn on my xbox & I hear a pop come out of my TV speakers & the image of xbox doesnt come up anymore & all i have is the sound.

what could be the problem? Should I jsut try to install & modd my other xbox I have?

The following repair guide may pertain to your problem, more unlikely than likely, but its worth a try.
Check this thread from a different Forum. Don't worry if your motherboard looks a little different, the same component designation is for all versions of X-Box:

DarkMatter: You said that tutorial works on any version box? I would like to see if that is the problem with my v1.0.
