I have my 360 open, dvd drive hooked to PC through sata, in mode B... and Ive read that in order to get my windows PC to recognize the drive, I have to open/close the drive.

However, the open close button is on the 360 mobo, and the dvd drive is not connected to the 360 SATA cable.

So how do I get the drive bay to open/close?

Sorry, its a dumb question I know... but Ive looked everywhere for an answer.

I have a Hitachi 47

thanks in advance.

If it's in modeB then you don't need to get it into modeB, yer statements are contradictory as well as incorrect, you don't have to open/close the drive to get it into modeB.

If it's showing up in Windows and you want to open the tray then just right click on the drive in Explorer and select Eject. If you're using the 360 to power the drive then the Eject button on the 360 will eject it. If you're using the Xecuter or Xeno kit to power it they have Eject buttons, if you don't have the power connected to it either of those ways it's never gonna get into modeB and there are a few ways to do it on top of that and ya didn't specify which of those you were trying.
