Here is my situation. while soldering my X3 CE into my box i messed my mobo up.. so i grabbed my other box and soldered it into that with no problem..the only problem is the hdd from that mobo is broken (wont spin.. just clicks) so now i have 2 locked drives (one from the screwed up mobo.. another i got 1 from a friend who fried his mobo) and one broken one.. i have a way to unlock one but will delete everything off the drive.. i was wondering if there was any way i could backup the files from either of the drives.. even tho they are locked.. or could i just unlock the one deleting everything and get the ini files needed?? not sure what to do..

thanks in advance

The Xbox you put the chip in can unlock the drive.

The other one, without modding that Xbox or getting an eeprom reader, is lost.

When you boot up your Xbox with the chip in it, it should unlock the drive.

Unless you totally screwed up the other Xbox, you should be able to put that HD back into it and have it work.

Either put one of the computer HDs in there, it will work.

Or, follow this guide to unlock one of the Xbox HDs.
