i'm talking about proximity voicing - being able to hear enemies when they are close to you

has that been removed?
only from ranked?

i haven't heard a single voice through my speakers since playing this game

peeps are confusing me telling me they can and can't hear enemies
others are saying it's only removed for ranked games etc.
not sure why the question is so confusing lol!

i just want to make sure this isn't some kind of setup issue i'm having!

cheers!! biggrin.gif

It hasn't been removed. It's an option. Apparently, my constant requests to Bungie for this feature were not ignored.

Hit Start, go to Settings. There you can set the voice to either team and party, everyone, etc.

Ranked Playlists

Ranked Playlists are for the player who wants to test his and his team’s mettle in a straight up competitive game. These playlists are sport-like in that they are tightly focused—you won’t have the rug pulled out from under you by an unexpected game of Hamster Crack. You will know what to expect, and over time, become versed in the nuance of your preferred playlist’s maps and games.

In addition, enemy player voice is disabled in game in Ranked Playlists. This is because these playlists are about the contest, and not about being Chatty Mc Chatterson. Some people love the art of trash talking above all else—there is a home for you, but it isn’t a Ranked Playlist. The scoreboard does all of the trash talking here.

ok buddy.....you almost tricked me tongue.gif

i guess that's it then....not sure why peeps keep telling me they can hear enemies in ranked games grr.gif

Nope you cant, which im not sure how i feel about. I liked how you could sometimes here someone coming by proximity. Though when those assholes started playing music and crap over it, and it was terrible to mute them.

So all and all no fuss with no chatter.
