Thats weird...

Basically my problem is:

My original drive broke so i ordered a replacement. The replacement came and then broke , well i thought it broke because when plugged in it wasnt responding to anything. When hooked up on the dash when i clicked open tray it did nothing. If i physically put a disc in it by opening it up it didnt read it.
Soo i assumed it was dead and sent it back. Now im waiting for the replacement and i tried turning the 360 on with nothing connected to see what happened and it launched up normally and gave me the same option to open tray even with nothing connected. When i clicked that it said opening and after a while closing and then back to the option to open tray the same as it did with my "dead drive" before..

soo im a bit worried that my 360 my be broke...

What you guys think?

Sorry if i waffled

if you buy a new dvd drive you can't just plug it in and away you go. you need to get the key from the original drive and flash it to the new one before it'll work.

My 360 boots into the dash even if no Drive is plugged in. The power light will be blinking but it boots and functions fine.

Cheers dude!

To avoid starting a new topic and wasting bandwith il ask my next question in this thread!

It is:

When using x360 usb. Is it possible to use slax to get the dvd drive into mode B? Is there a special slax build i must use?

Thanks a lot

Alex

P.s the drive will be V47
