I've read a few threads about how to fix msdash, I got the problem that it gives an error message and can not be started.

My XBOX is an v1.6 and softmodded, this was a few years ago.
Now ive finally bought an LCD tv and want to enable the HD-settings.

Thing is I can't come into msdash, I knew about this problem before but never been arsed to find an solution.

The scarriest part is that Im so afraid Im gonna mess things up, so I loose the whole XBOX :-\
But Ive upgraded the xbox to an 160GB before so i have the original (that also got the softmod on) hdd so I should be able to restore it (I think)

The question is, how should I restore my msdash (so it actually runs) w/o mess my XBOX?

Today (Like ive always used) im using Avalaunch as "main" dash

there are various ways to fix it. With the newer softmods that use a virtual C it's as easy as transfering retail msdash files to your virtual C.
