If you are looking for a cooler that performs as well as the Intercooler without having to worry about it hurting your system, get Intec's Airlow Cooler 360. It's just like the Intercooler, but it runs off it's own power supply. They come in white and black. Go to www.monkeyjunkie.com. They have them for around $14.

ohh i have heard the intercooler damages the 360 As stated in http://www.xbox360fa...ution-the-xfan/

"The Intercooler, on the other hand, pulled its juice from the power port (which reportedly led to its 360-damaging problems). "

the original nyko cooler was prone to shorting out and melting the plastic which fried your 360. apparently the EX version has fixed these problems

i used an intercooler on my original console because it would overheat after a couple hours of gameplay. it worked fine for me, but after a year or so it would boot to a power supply error code at least once a week and i would have to reposition the power cord. it seemed like it just started getting loose, but the device was also a problem for me because it was so loud too.

last spring, i added some internal passive cooling mods that were much quieter(sink pads for ram, cut out the cage fan grill and modded the shroud for better airflow) and i thought it was working perfectly so i removed the intercooler.

the console went rrod 5-6 months later and i assume it was due to summer heat or it was just time for it to go...

i think these products are a waste of money, my launch xbox360 has never had an issue. The 360 isn't designed to be used with these products and now with a 3 yr RROD warranty i see no reason to use these products... but if you want to throw the 20$ away then buy one with a seperate power supply.
