I have come to know about the X-Clamp fix and that it works. I would like to know somethings before proceeding. I hope someone would help:

1- Do you need to remove both the X-Clamps replacing them with screws & washers, i.e. replace just GPU's X-Clamp or both GPU's and CPU's? Kindly confirm.

2- How much distance should remain between the heat sinks and the GPU/CPU after the fix?

3- There are several fixes mentioned in the forum. Which one is the best and works well?

Kindly confirm. I am dying to play the games but can't! I request you to please guide some I may fix the Xbox and play the games again. Thanks a lot!!!!!

1. I always do both to be safe, the CPU can break away from the board too.
2. The heatsinks must be touching the chips.
3. Whichever you fancy, they all do pretty much the same thing. I personally go for Lawdawgs method as it's really simple.

Good luck.
