Im looking for a HDMI (not just hdmi swiching / pass through but also able to support surround sound over hdmi) amp for 250 ($500) or under iv looked all over but i don't know which ones are good or which ones are crap.
Iv seen a few which are but i dont know if any of then support 5.1 / 7.1 / PCM over HDMI.

sony STR-DG710 http://www.sony.co.u....a Receiver#tab

Sony STR-DA1200ES http://www.sony.co.u...wProdu...HFC Re ceiver

Onkyo TX-SR505E http://www.eu.onkyo.....n_5368468.html

Are any of the above amps any good.

Ill be using the amp for xbox 360 so its got to support 1080p at 60MHZ over component, and the ps3 vie HDMI so its got to support 5.1 / 7.1 / PCM (over hdmi) (cus i hear the ps3 can internally decode some of the new audio formats) sound aswell as 1080p video. Thanks for any help.

Your links are dead, but here's some you might want to check out:

And a comparison (colours ignored):

I would personally recommend Richer Sounds as a good supplier (even better if you have a local store, then you get the web prices without having to pay P&P!)
