How hard is installing a passkey into a hitachi 79? I've Soldered a wiinja V2 wii mod chip before.
Also keeping the warranty sticker in good condition is the best way to heat it up with a hair dryer or heatgun on a low setting the removing and sticking to wax paper the best way?

The passkey itself is a fairly difficult install, due to the fact you need to remove the epoxy from the points and then solder on an area where the wires are right next to each other. The Wiinja (and other 2nd gen chips) are a doddle in comparision.

As for your warranty sticker, tampering with the console invalidates any warranty, regardless if the sticker is intact or not.

The main thing is to use a heat gun to GENTLY remove the epoxy. I received too many drives where people had totally screwed the contacts up by forcefully removing the epoxy.

Main thing is look everything over very good and get an idea in your head of the chances you bricking the drive. If you 100% don't feel comfortable doing it then don't do it at all.
