ok, here's a hard one which is killing me at the moment, a customer of mine sent me his 360 and here's the problem:

whenever i let the 360 cool down for some hours and i turn it on, it doesn't boot, it doesn't even show any image or sound, i only hear the fans working and the drive, but if i put a dvd in, it doesn't try to read it, because it probably doesn't even get to load the bios and all that stuff.

sometimes it shows 3RROD error code 0022 at cold boot

then after a few tries it boots perfectly

it's a zephyr board (like the first elite versions)

it always fails on cold boot, did an x-clamp fix but it didn't solve the problem.

what should i do next?

i saw such situation some day , look at the bottom of the board , can you see under any of the power transistors (on the top) any brownish color "due to heat" this transistor might be weak because it used to get too hot, thats what i can remember for now
