Hi,

I am about to go to Walmart and pick up a PSP slim daxter pack. I understand how to mod the battery to get the firmware down to 1.5 but from there I am unclear on what to do to play back ups and home brew.

Is there a step by step?

I'm a bit flaky on the details, I really don't understand the PSP file system and why you often need 2 folders amed the same butone with % in it. I've managed to play a couple of backed up PS1 games though, and that was a simple case of putting the folder containing the eboot file into the /PSP/GAME/ folder.
As for how to make the battery and downgrade, I really don't know for sure but my (quite possibly wrong) understanding is that the PSP slim cant have FW 1.50 on it. It comes already with v3 or something outta the box - part of Sonys anti-homebrew work. If I'm wrong though then it wont matterand you'd be able to go to the M33 FW anyway.

I got back from the 24 hour Walmart about an hour ago with the Daxter Pack PSP slim. I was able to remove the pin from the battery turning it into a Pandora battery and successfully flashed to 3.71 m33 following the instructions here

Cool it was actually easy. I did not need an X-acto knife to open the batter. I used a tiny standard screw driver and a razor to mod the battery.

It was very easy.
