As the title states, i have a ts-h943 dvd drive that has recently shit out on me. The laser was dying in it for a while, so i ordered a new one (h63 iirc). Got it today and went to install it, (removed the anti-static point) and nothing happened. The xbox essentially acted as if nothing was inserted. So i took it back apart, only this time leaving the top part of the dvd drive off (removing the white 'clamp' so the cd was secure). and this is what happens:

The laser 'lights' up twice, as if it's trying to detect if a cd is inserted, and then spins the cd maybe a half a turn.
It used to open and close normally, but it doesnt anymore. Also, if i move the laser to the rear of the drive, it no longer will move back to position.

Any help would be appreciated, as i would rather not order a new drive (mainly because i have no way of getting the key off mine- recognized in bios but not in windows, and mtkflash doesnt, apparently, support my ich7)
