I have loads of spare xbox 360 cases around here which I'm planning to mod a customize in various ways but most have them don't have the top motherboard casing attached to the case. Do i need to add the top motherboard casing before I add it to my 360? I'm only asking because I've seen a lot of third party cases that don't have the top mother casing attached.

If you are refering to the the top part of the case with the metal attached to it, then no you don't. I can't remember what it is even used for anymore all i know is that none of my boxes have that piece in it anymore

nos33 is correct, Theres no need for that top metal case as it does not do anything except keep more heat in your 360 which is no good. I've been trying to work on another MOD but can't seem to find any Microsoft cases to buy so I just have to wait until I get my hands on one tongue.gif
