I have maybe kinda weird guestion..

I have parts for led fader that fades leds in and out sowly and i was planning to put some leds under my 360 so my guestion is:
Can i power 60 red 3mm leds from 360s usb? biggrin.gif
I really donīt want to solder my 360s mobo (I can do that if I have to but it needs to be -on- mobo not under)
So my second guestion is can I power 60 red 3mm leds somewhere from mobo?

so if somebody can help me, plese do it quick..

Maybe edit your topic so more people will be able to help cause right now "I need help" just sucks. :-) Specify with what and in my opinion, it isn't urgent. Stressing will not help you with an answer...

Hi

I would recommend not to use the USB slots, They only have around 500Mah *i think* so i would say go on where the power supply is!!

60 LED's will draw way too much power and will cause the xbox to fail to boot

60 LED's seems like enough to light up a whole christmas tree, way to many for an xbox. I think a more resonable question is what's a realistic amount of LED's I should be using. Sorry I can't answer that question since I don't know, but I'm sure somebody here does.

yea usb only has 5ooma of power assuming each one of the leds uses 20 ma thats only 25 leds on each usb port before they are maxed and the console wont boot

actually the 360 can power quite a few more than that

the best place to take power from would be the bottom of the motherboard but if you dont want to, take a look in the pinned tutorial section for the layout of the power spots on the top of the board like you should have done in the first place before posting wink.gif

p.s. maybe next time dont take the im a noob dick approach to posting a new topic and have the title say what you need help with, and
