After screwing up my xbox and finally getting it working again thanks to the help of you guys ... I'm now back to the point where I'm trying to make xbmc auto load at startup rather than ltools. The xbmc wiki says that I need to replace the default dashboard xbe file that is in the root of C, but that's what I did the last time and it caused a huge problem that was resolved by reinstalling the microsoft dash.

So ... The xbmc wiki says that I need to download the default.xbe file from their link on the page and then replace the current dash xbe file with it. And then add a cfg file to the root of C that contains the path to the xbmc xbe.

Which file do I need to replace? I have three xbe's in the root of c ...

-dualboot.xbe
-msdash.xbe
-xboxdash.xbe

My method of modding was the MA gamesave hack ... At the moment, it's booting straight to Ltools 1.8.

Got it! I guess the dashboard somehow got to the E partition rather than C.
