I posted this about a year ago when the X-Box scene was very new and I'm wondering if there are any new developments.

Since I'm running Linux (Ed's Debian 0.3.1), I'm assuming that any USB -> SNES controller would work, however I don't think that these exist.

Furthermore, I have built many LPT -> SNES/NES pads, but the X-Box does not have a parallel port of course.

Anybody have any suggestions for me? Is what I'm trying to do even possible?

If you really want to do it, you can open up the SNES and Xbox Controller, and solder the SNES contacts, to their respective ones on the Xbox.

the way that i am going to do it is this: i am going to buy one of the adapters so that you can use dreamcast controllers on the xbox. then i will hook up my "special" dreamcast controller that has a female 15 pin joystick extension cable sticking out of the back of it. into this, i am able to plug in my nes, snes and genesis controllers that i have taken apart and rewired for this to work. the two webpages that i followed to do this are no longer online, im trying to look for something to help right now....

found it nes controller on dc

there ya go, hope that helps smile.gif

and this....here

whew, that was tough wink.gif

sorry, i promise this will be the last time smile.gifnes2dc
