I don't know if this is the right place to post, but anyways. I have taken my 360 apart about 7 times to flash and each time is unsuccessful. I am in the process of getting that taken care of too. But the last time I put everything back together the faceplate has a problem. When i snap it into place, the power button is pushed into the button that turns it off and on. If I put the faceplate while xbox is on, it will shut it off and vice versa. Once it is snapped into place I cannot turn the 360 on and off because it is pushed firmly against the actual button on the electronic board. I did get another faceplate and that one is doing the same thing.

I have the same problem, i posted in the case modding forum which will have the most experienced people for this kind of thing, sadly i havent had time to try any of the resolutions out yet. Personally i just leave the faceplate unattached at one edge (its a workaround and not ideal but it works for now:))
