I know this might not belong here...but id really appreciate it if you mods would let this slide.

I have a 3 year old gateway MX7515 laptop here....

half of the keys are missing from KB, touchpad is broken, screen is cracked, and charger is broken.

BUT

i just cant let a computer go that can run CSS over 80 FPS. it HURTS.

So anyways...ive pulled the thing apart

......completely.

I plan on wiring the charger straight into the MB, and using an external mouse, KB, and screen.

what should i case it in, and what should i do to it/the case?

This could be real interesting... the motherboard is about 3 inches longer than the xbox 360 case. Already thought of that.

but its like an inch high....

omg its so thin.

I could have alot of fun with this. Ideas please?

NOTE: im REALLY thinking about doing that whole mineral oil cooling dealio...looks sick.

But if i spill that shit...my parents will slit my throat.

What if i installed the laptops MoBo into that...

Maybe ill even water cool it biggrin.gif

Thanks ChipD/Kyle...<3

I'll make sure and post pics and whatnot as i go...

Got a few cathodes lying around too. This could turn out to be pretty fun.

Sounds...........okay I wont be rude

You do NOT need to water cool a laptop, they are built to take the heat in small places, so just try to match the airflow and you are more then good.

You know what a good case for the laptop is? A laptop case.

I applaud you if you actually do something with this project, but like all 'Im gunna' threads get some pictures up or just let this go until you do.
