Ok so I opened up my 360 like i've done a couple of time before.
Before I can open the drive I have to remove the thing that opens the drive (it has a green bottom).
I later re-atached the green thing back on the 360 but now I can't open my drive.
It isn't stuck the thing just doesn't work.
Can someone please help me?

i think you talking about the eject button. the bit that comes of the front of the dvd drive and joins to the button next to the tray?

if so, then make sure you have it seated properly, and that the case is on correctly. also try pressing the button manually

if your talking about something else then i have no idea

There is a small piece of plastic that presses a button inside the console when you press the eject button. Make sure that piece did not break off.

Also make sure your power wire is hooked to the DVD drive.

It is hooked otherwise my xbox wouldn't recognize games.
What does that little plastic thing look like.
Because I don't recall anything breaking off.
I just opened it up and when I put back the eject button it didn't eject anymore

When you press the eject button you should hear a little click sound indicating that it is clicking the small switch. Remove the eject button and you will see the small button inside the console that gets pressed when the eject button is pressed.

What happens when you remove the plastic eject button and press the tiny button in the hole with a screwdriver or something..?

I think you are not aligning the eject button right... are you placing the pointed end at the bottom into the hole???

With the button in place, push the bottom part of the button assembly - the part that leads to the button you've been pressing with a screwdriver. Does it make contact and press the button in, or isn't it reaching?

In which case, next question:

With the part of the eject assembly which clips onto the drive, does it lay flush against drive itself? i.e, it should push back onto the drive and there should be no gap between that part of the assembly and the drive.

Basically the green part of the eject button - is it flush against the drive?

(thanks for the images tho, albeit not really helping at this stage!)
