Hey im only level 11 and enchanting may be a little advanced for that level but i just need a couple of questions answered. (By the way sorry if this is already a topic. Don't get i did search for a bit.) I understand u need soul gems to enchant and grand are the best. I also know you have to go to an altar of enchantment. ( i forget where its located). What I want to know how enchanting works. what all can you do to your weapons and armor. One more thing... where can i buy a full grand soul gem. I mistakingly bought an empty.

Again im not looking to actually enchant just yet so don't get mad at me not having experience. I just want some answers. Thanks biggrin.gif

Hey Dome Shot,

You can enchant any item not already containing an enchantment. Weapons, armor, clothing, jewerly.
You can only enchant an item with a spell that you already know. Yes you need soul gems and grand are the best. They will give you the highest level of enchantment. I don't know where to buy one though I mostly just find them in dungeons. With an empty soul gem you can cast "soul trap" to trap a creatures soul in the gem. Cast the spell on them then kill the creature and you'll fill the gem. The bigger the creature the better. The alter to encant is at the Arcane University. However you will have to get all the recommendations from the guilds to gain access. Get to the alter, have your soul gem ready, the item you wish to enchant, the spell you wish to enchant it with, and gold of course. And yeah your good to go. Oh, and you don't have to be a certain level to enchant as long as you get those recommendations! Hope that helps some. Happy hunting!
