Run homebrew WITHOUT opening up your Xbox or installing a modchip or renting a game or eating french fries?

I don't have money to spare, but I want to write homebrew anyway, so is it possible to take a unaltered, retail Xbox and run homebrew on it without screwing around with it? FTP? Network hack? Burnt CD?

If it's possible, I plan on using OpenXDK.

If I can't do this, I'll use an emulator, but... It's not as sexy. muhaha.gif

I'm sure it is because Xbox-Linux said so, but they won't tell because of the warez-kiddies...

if it were possible there would be a tutorial on here about it or a link to that tutorial and also the only way to run homebrew is if your xbox can run unsigned code and thats the whole thing behind modding the xbox to begin with

Actually, the easier is to bring (or ship) your xbox1 to a local store that offers to install a modchip. In a few minutes and for a not so expensive price it's done. Avoid non soldered solutions (they fail after a few months because of oxydation). Caution in USA and UK, they like sending modders in jail, even on xbox1.

If you like the software only tricks, look for 'softmod krayzie' but it may involve rented games and specific old dashboard versions

I guess pure software method without any game exploit was only possible on very ancient xbox1...
There is a famous article explaining the 17 errors of MS about xbox1 security. Try to find it. It explains many things and the history of xbox1 hacks.

, part of Google TechTalks , the first part (30 minutes or so) explains the xbox1 security weaknesses before going into 360 details.

No because that would just give Microsoft's lawyers some ammo to start shooting lawsuits.
