If its happening with UnleashX as well, I don't think its an XBMC problem. Try reinstalling the game onto the HDD as I'd assume its corrupted somehow. Otherwise... well your guess is as good as mines.

No, its not a XBMC-specific problem, but I thought it would be the best place to put my question.

The "crazy" thing about this problem is: I started this game once and it started just fine. As I wanted to start it a secong time it would come up.

Try clearing the cache. Delete the files in the E:\Cache folder as well as files on the X, Y and Z drives.

If that doesn't work delete the game save for that game. It could be corrupted.

Make sure the E drive isn't full. You should have at least 50-100megs.

I already deleted the savegames of this game.
I deleted everything in E:\CACHE an formatted X:\, Y:\ and Z:\ in UnleashX. But the game wont start. Neither in UnleashX nor in XBMC.

Edit:
On E:\ is more than enough space. I think about 14GB should be free.

You wanna double-check that free space for E? The E is one of the xbox stock partitions, and should not have been edited. Since the entire CEXYZ partitions shouldnt take more than 8gig, if you got 14gig on E, theres your problem.

Ok, I checked the free spaces. Sorry for that.

C: 330MB free
E: 4,2GB free
F: 14GB free

OK. That sounds like things are fine for the partitions. I'd stick to the possibility of a corrupt game. Try either reinstalling or downloading and installing another to see if that works. If they both fail then there may be more problems, but I expect that those will solve the problem.

All other games on the HDD work fine. It is only this one game that keeps restarting the Box. I copied this game from the original Game-Disc with the File-Explorer to the HDD. Ive done this with some other games and these work very well.

Get the latest DVD2Xbox and use it to rip the game.

Murhagh: If you tried copying the game a couple of times then I'd be tempted to think that the disc is scratched or something is failing to copy.
Out of interest (I think it should be ok to ask, since you have stated you have the original, so don't think it would be against rules - someone correct me if I'm wrong) which game is it, and where are you installing to?

xRaVeNx: Don't just steal the thread like that. You've read the suggestions for Murhagh - follow them too, and if you've tried them, and its from a legit game backup then give the same details... maybe we'l;l be able to find something out.

If all else fails try this:
1st: FTP into your E partition and copy your Tdata & Udata folders to your pc.
2nd: Now delete your xbox's Tdata & Udata folders.
3rd: Reboot your xbox and try to load your game:
If it now works, Transfer your Tdata & Udata folders back over being careful not to overright any files created.

I had this same problem once and this is the only thing that worked for me!!!!

@Stefan Leroux:
Yes, you can ask. The game is Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy.

@1hotjob:
What should be the difference of copying it with DVD2XBOX or with the File-Explorer?

@TheAgedGamer:
Ill try this later. I dont know if Ill find the time today. sad.gif

I always use DVD2Xbox and it does a great job. Reports any errors also.
