Greetings,
I'm planning on buying an Xbox 360 this Christmas and I really want a Jasper console because it is believed to be less likely to have an RRoD (well that's what I have read). Can you help me spot a Jasper so I won't be con? As I read the forums of the new Jasper discovery I saw that it has an internal 256mb memory built-in, is this only for the new Jasper models?

Thank you, I hope you will help because it will make my Christmas really great =)

Easy man, Just look at the box of any X360.. and if it has a Manufacturing date of 10-23-2008 or after then you've got yourself a Jasper right there man.

This is what it says on my Jasper: Manufacturing date is 10-29-2008 Lot #0849X by Team FDOU. love.gif

Thanks =)
Is there any indication in the console itself so I can be 100% sure?

Wow, you can determine the model of your xbox just by looking at the power socket???

Did you buy a Arcade model ? Wonder if the same Man. date applies to the Premiums and Elites ?

Mine is a elite and it came with a 120gb hard drive.. It also had NXE pre-installed. It came with a 203v power supply..

Y know, The one with the metal edge.

Actually 28-08-2008 is the earliest MFR date that saw Jaspers (but it might vary ie ; be later for elite, arcades may have even come before this date depending on the factory which can be ID'ed by the last two digits of the serial) OR If your console came with 150w PSU brick (assuming it's the original one it came with, Jaspers will accept Falcon and Xenon series PSU's not the other way tho) then you have a Jasper 100% garunteed! ph34r.gif

Hope this clears some stuff up for ppl. I'm going to compile a power socket photo ID array if none exists after this as the info thus far seems to be lacking.

EDIT: It's been done before:
