Hi to all btw. First time poster but Ive been reading ALOT !

ok.

I have a A8n SLI Deluxe Mainboard with Nforce4 SATA

I connected up my Blaster 360 to an unmodified M25 Drive.
Booted to my pen drive, and ran MTKFLASH r /m ORIG.BIN
1. IDE
2. NF4SAT2 - Master
3. NF4SAT2 - Slave

I selected 2, and I got my ORIG File no problem..

I then added the Key I got from the ORIG.BIN to my IX14.bin

Re-booted to DOS and ran MTKFLASH w /m IX14.BIN
1. IDE
2. NF4SAT2 - Master
3. NF4SAT2 - Slave

Selected 2 again and the flash was successful.

Connected the Box back up and turned it on.
DVD Would not read Original or backups.

I then Realised that I had not spoofed the firmware as the firmware I flashed on the drive was the m28 unspoofed.

So I re-connected the DVD to my PC and booted to DOS once more.
1. IDE
2. NF4SAT2 - Master
3. NF4SAT2 - Slave

Once again I selected 2, but this time it just sat at "Port: 960, Master/ slave: a0"

I have looked EVERWHERE on the forums and goolge but I cannot find any Clue to Y this is not re flashing the drive. Its as if the MTKFLASH util cannot see the dvd drive any more.

PLEASE HELP !!!!!

oh. Ive tried the 0800 DVD and just got the same as above.

I take it that the 10 sec trick is only doable with a VIA sata Chip set ?

Just tried something else...

I put my other m25 drive onto my computer, and I get the same problem.
This M25 has been working fine for months...

Looks like I need the VIA sata Card... I check ebay laters...

Unless anyone here lives in staffordshire and can do it for me biggrin.gif

Ok, update...

I got it sorted now.

I used the link that you gave, and apart from having to update my chipset drivers to the Nforce4 ones rather than the "Microsoft" ones that install when you install windows Vista, I got it working no problems at all

Thanks for the help biggrin.gif
