Hi..
I want to buy another Xbox 360. My first xbox 360 just died a couple months ago.
Just like the topic title. Is it okay to install X-Clamp Fix to my new Xbox 360? Because I scare my second xbox 360 will be 3rrod again. sad.gif
Thanks biggrin.gif

have you tried fixing your old 360?
personally I would say don't replace the xclamps on an xbox which is working. doing some cooling improvements will help increase the lifespan of the xbox, and then if it does RROD you can fix it with xclamp replacement.
and if you are going to replace the xclamps, use the hybrid tutorial

No, I wouldnt touch it. If your that worried about it, then dont even open it and break the seal.. because if you buy a new one, and dont open it, you have a 3 year protection of the 3 red lights from the consoles manufacture date.

Correct.

The ONLY reason to open up a new/functioning 360 is to mod it in some form, NOT to do "precautionary" repairs which might actually do harm instead of good.

Rule of thumb.... "If it aint broke, dont fix it!"
