got a brand new Elite yesterday. I booted it up this morning only to see the dreaded RROD - however the xbox still booted and ran perfectly. I turned it off and back on (because i forgot to attach the harddrive) and the RROD was gone and the xbox was still working fine. what's up with that?

i'm probably going to swap it out even though it seems to be working fine.

I was reparing mine the other day and it did this. System booted up, went to the dash and everything. Never froze, but the RROD was sitting there blinking at me. I even checked the code and it gave me 0102. Turned it off then back on and it was gone.
