No, more like a handful of people. You need a second motherboard to take the memory off of (two chips) then you have to solder it back on. The problem is the like60 points that are the size of a pin that you need to solder on. If you do a search you will find some info. Most people find out the difficulty involved and decide against it. Plus, then you always need the patch to run games since all games are designed for the 64 megs of ram that are stock. There is absolutely no benefit to it unless you are running linux on your box. Hope that helps.

yeah, the main reason anyone is doing it is to just say that it can be done. The memory isn't useful for any of the games, just the apps, which u really don't need any extra memory for anyway.

I heard that the only thing it would be good for is if you're running certain N64 roms.

When I first heard this happening, I said to myself "Why?" unsure.gif

Its certainly not worth the effort either way. The cons certainly outweigh any minor performance improvements - which would no doubt be pretty much un-noticable.

As said, the Box does well enough with what it has....... cool.gif
