I need to replace all the tall capacitors in the xbox 360. They look just like the ones in the following link (same brand, same color scheme) but the ones I need are taller than the ones in the auction. They have the same voltage (6.3v) and both are 820uf.

Does anyone know where I can get the caps I need? I would prefer if someone can find them at Newark canada, but I checked and did not find the same ones.

Thanks

It looks just like this one,

Same brand, 820uf and 6.3v. Plus, this one is the right height. The difference is that the caps on the board are the color of the ones in the ebay link, but would that make a difference?

My cap also says "H0827"

hmmm and i thought the 360 only had 100, 220 , 2200 or 2700 caps. You sure you didnt misread the 220 cap as a 820?

Come on, anyone know the caps I need to replace these? I want to order them tonight to try and have them by the weekend, though it doesn't seem like that will happen. I really want these for a project! They have to be sold some where....

Well a store not too far from me has 820uf 6.3m 8x11 capacitors, could I use those, or does it have to be the same brand and everything? They never mentioned the brand since it wasn't listed in the system......

So it can just be any 6.3v 820uf caps? Doesn't have to be the exact same?

I'm pretty sure it is the same thing, except for maybe the brand name.

How was the replacement?

My Arcade version (with HDMI) may be suffering from the same bad capacitors. I think at least two have bulged slightly. They also specify 820 uF and 6.3V The console would give me a 0022 error code. If I left the console alone and unplugged for a VERY long time, the console would actually work. For how long depended on how long I left it alone and unplugged, but when it failed, the console would hard freeze with frozen video.

Seeing that the console DID work made me doubt whether Lawdawg's X-Clamp fix would work. The X-Clamps (I believe) are still present. The unit was handed down to me with a broken warranty sticker.

I'm hoping your efforts were successful.

Thanks for reading!
