Hi friends

I am a 12 years PC experience technician, but realy new on xbox 360 world (1 month)

and my ask is this:
somebody sell me a xbox 360 with dvd broken drive, the actual drive is a Toshiba-Samsung ms25 (the drive don't want to read DVD games)
somebody gave me a HITACHI 0079FL and told me will work good, I only test with a COD5 original DVD game, and when I put in the DVD tell me "put this DVD in a xbox console to play the game" the same in the computer, I didn't test yet with another DVD game.

somebody told me that I can extract the T-S drive key and pass it to the HITACHI drive and will work, I can do that??

can somebody help me with some manual or tutorial to do that?

I find tutorials and manuals to flash or pass from SAMSUNG to SAMSUNG, or flash or pass HITACHI to HITACHI, but no a tutorial to help me to specially with this problem.

this is my first XBOX 360 experience

Regards and thanks for any help

you need to get the key from the samsung and "spoof" it to the Hitachi.

Btw, he gave you a link to guides on doing this.

Well will the console play a regular dvd is a good question to ask your self right now, just before you do too much work try a dvd movie, then let us know if it works, because it sounds like nothing is wrong with the drive because it tried to read the game but turned up not reading it.
