ive been doing a tone of reading and i finally came across doing this in dos mode off my usb stick if i want can i get the key in dos and then flash in windows. and while flashing do i still need too have the probe hooked up?? or is that just to get the key file off the drive??

depending on your setup...if you have a probe just use dvdkey32 to extract the key...you use it in command prompt in windows..you need to extract the key before you flash your drive..when flashing you don't need the probe hookup anymore..it's just for extracting the key...

ok so this is what im doing now im booting off the usb i chose the drive that the liteon is then when it askes if i want to send command till it response i chose no then i type in liteon k and it askes me to type inquiry.bin identify.bin key.bin dummy.bin. after i do that it askes what port and i chose 1 and then it says dvd key invalid in the meanwile ive got a pin in the 707 hole on the dvd drive. its pushed half way in and the pin 3 off the connector that controls the open and close of the drive is removed. green light on xbox is flashing green. im stumped. if i use dvdkey how would i put that to my usb stick and do it through dos

Just buy a CK3 Pro and use your USB port rather than the printer port make things easier :S
