This is what I did for my bios.

Download the latest version of xbtool and open the x2 bios .bin,

Colors:

X Lip - leave it black

X Lip Highlights - click and pick 'light orange'

X Inner Walls - click and pick 'brown'

X Inner Glow - click and pick 'gold'

"XBOX" Text - click and pick 'more colors', you will see two shades of orange, pick the bottom one

Settings:

Uncheck 'Animation' and 'Trademark Symbol', pick Orange as the LED color, pick your preferred Boot Partition and File Size.

Save, Flash and you now have a great looking orange splash screen complete with matching LED!

heh anyone noe of a good red one? I think the new xbtool allows you to actually save the colors ect. settings. Maybe you could save this orange one and post it or something?

Hey guys,

I cannot get the xb-tool to work with the LED bios change mod...

the most i can get is to have my front LED flashing green, but even that is wrong because i set the button to orange.

Anyone have any success/suggestions on how to get it working?

Thanks

BTW, i am using a xecuter 2 4977 bios, that boots off the F partition...

Sorry about that. I forgot to take out some old code when I put in the new blink stuff and it was messing up the settings (harmless, you just got something other than expected). I hated to do another release so soon, but that needed to be fixed so it's done.

0.9.4.1 is out

Um, kind of embarassing but...

0.9.4.2 is out.

When I re-did the patcher code for the LED's I made a mistake on the pre 4977 versions. No reports of problems, as it wasn't out long before I realized it and most people are using 4977. Unless there's another bug found I'll try and cool down on the releases for a few days.

I did a HD activity mod that flashes the eject lights *Yellow*. Before then, I didn't even know Yellow was a possible color. can XBTool make the lights Yellow too?

Well, there are 3 possible colors. Two are red and green. The third could be called orange yellow or amber. It's just a combination of the red and the green. Your mod probably connects the red to IDE 1 making the red flash on during HD activity, but since the green is on all the time you get the yellow flashing.

BTW, you could test this by setting your LED to always off usning an XBtool modded BIOS. Then you'd see your LED flash red for IDE activity.
