Hi there,

i want do install a softmod with nkpatcher without an installer. Because the Installer install features i dont need.

My Box:
Kernel 5530, Dash 5960.

I got the eeprom, and i copied a unmodded Dash 5960 to my HDD.

How can i install the nkpatcher and uxe? I dont find any files / tutorials on the web.

Use Kingroach NDURE 3.1, and don't select any options apart from the ones you want. The only files it puts on the C partition are the ones needed for nkpatcher.....

My larger HDD is softmod with Kingroach Ndure.

But i want it done by my self, and dont know how.

I think i have to
Patching MS-Dash / Live Dash
Copy Fonts
Fonts are starting C:\NKP11\bios.xbe
NKP is starting c:\dash\default.xbe

i dont know
1. which fonts
2. how to compile / edit the fonts to start the nkpatcher
3. how to edit the ms dash

I got NKPatcher11_U04-kingroach.rar

Dont need XBox live but i want to be able to change ip-address with the ms dash

Search for the features shadowc and virtual eeprom. If you have a shadowc, ftp the unmodded 5960 M$dash to that shadowc partition. It's possible you will need to format it first. (Only do this if you see an empty partition.) After that, you should be able to acces the M$dash from within your homebrew dash.

regards.

1. ernie.xtf and xbox.xtf in that sequence.
2. The rar file should have some readme dry.gif , you'll need nasm, I can't remember if it's included.

Be careful when you experiment, and ensure that your eeprom backup is the real eeprom and not from the virtual eeprom. When you are messing with the internals of the softmod, you run the risk of bricking the xbox - I'm speaking from experience tongue.gif

The Links are broken, i cant find any fonts.

I have a "ueee.zip" with
* a set of different Xbox.xtf (folder called s1929216, maybe its version?)
* a 5960 to 4920 Converter

a package NKPatcher11_U04-kingroach.rar (thx to kingroach *g*) with
* Nkpatcher
* ernie.xtf

I ve got a replacement HDD & xboxhdm (and eeprom.bin) so i can play i lil bit.

I want to install the UXE without any installer (only with xboxhdm & eeprom.bin):

1) do the fonts work (since the link to the fonts dont work)
2) the patched 4920 Dash comes to c:\ root, but which version is stored in c:\xodash (patched 4920 or 5960?)

Again, sorry for my bad english *g*

The nkpatcher_U04 package should contain all the font files you might possible need in a subfolder of it's ndts folder.

It also has some different nkpatcher programs for the different options you can choose. (It's the xbe you find in the bios folder of your C partition.

Don't start mixing files from the ueee softmod and the ndure softmod. There is no need to do this, and it probably won't work. (Unless the font exploits are patching the same dash xbe and launching the same homebrew xbe in the same folder.)

regards.

Suggest you try Ndure instead of UXE: http://xguides.xbox-...e=Ndure Install

Don't start mixing files from the ueee softmod and the ndure softmod.

Actually the Ndure fonts came from UEEE biggrin.gif and both UXE and NDure use the uberdash files. UXE uses the update.xbe while Ndure uses the renamed xonlinedash.xbe

The nkpatcher_U04 package should contain all the font files you might possible need in a subfolder of it's ndts folder.

Nkpatcher is the second piece of the softmod , once the dash is exploited through the font exploit to run unsigned code, it runs the kernel patcher.
