My Xbox Shuts down after 15 or so mins.
So When I'm trying to FTP over to my PC from Xbox, I cant get it to fast because the FTP program i'm using is "FireFTP" in the Firefox Browser.

Is there any way I can just Take the Xbox HDD out and pop it into my PC (Would be faster then FTP if the PC could read the xbox HDD as another HDD)

if not, Whats the BEST FTP program you guys all use?

I use flashfxp on windows and filezilla on linux

And the only way I know to get an xbox hdd to be able to run on pc is to use a linux distro with fatx drivers. I believe I read about a way to get xebian1.4 to install the 2.4kernel with fatx support on pc. Look up xebian linux for more info.

I use powerdesk 7. It has a good ftp program built in. Faster than flashftp.

Backup the xbox eeprom so that you can unlock the harddisk on your pc.
ftp that eeprom.bin over to your pc (256 bytes, so it should be doable in 15 minutes.)

Try the xplorer360 program on your pc. It is able to read and write from fatx formatted partitions.

You can use xboxhdm to unlock your xbox harddisk on your pc. You can also check the eeprom.bin file with the liveinfo beta 3 program (windows) and use the dos tools together with the liveinfo calculated hdd password to unlock it.

regards.
