Does anyone know how I can physically slim down the size of the xbox 360 motherboard? I don't think I can, but can I physically cut the sides of the board?

Trying to do a project where literally every millimeter is critical smile.gif

It is possible, but extremely risky. The board can easily be cut using a dremel, sander or any other such instrument. I would suggest a flat bed sander and hold the board vertically over it and the edge will slowly grind down. However be careful holding it as you dont want it to slip, plus the added feature of cutting too far and breaking the circuitry. I know it can be done since i needed to cut the RF board for a different project, but i didnt care about breaking it.

I would strongly advise against this however, though you could get hold of a broken board from ebay and test the practice first.

if it is mm the u can sand down the right a bit but due to usb and power sockets u have only 1-2mm to loose there but i cant see any more u can take off

unless u want to desolder connection an resolder them
in witch case the left would be best if u take off the hdd socket you can remove bout 2-3 mm

only other thing would be to cut it in half and join all the traces back together and if u are going to do that i think u would be a hero to a lot of people
