Hey guys,

Now I duno if anyone has seen something like this.
I have an x360 here that someone gave me to try and fix.

From what I was told he was trying to install a NME chip .. diagrams found below.
http://www.nme2.com/...st_samsung.html

He ended up damaged the trace that connects the A point in the diagrams.
Ok.. so I had a buddy of mine repair the trace under a microscope.. and even with my naked eye now, it looks good.

I boot up using a boot USB and dosflash
and my system recognizes something on my sata port.
However, when it idents the device.. its getting.. SST(25VF040) and not the SST(39SF020) that it should be.
Also I am able to read the bios.. but I am getting a 512K firmware.. 8 banks.

Now before you ask and I know you will.. NO I do not have any other devices connected on my system, only this Samsung ms25.

Any ideas.. or suggestions as to how I can try to recover this original firmware would be great.

Oh..I should also add that the resulting firmware dump is a repeating pattern of symbols, numbers, boolean operators, and A-Z.

Thanks smile.gif
