Hi wonder if any one can help. For some reason system link won't work moderwarfare 2 over 2 consoles on LAN. Works no problem playing other link games like halo. But it just won't work with modern warfare 2.

Make sure both of the consoles have the same version of the game. The easist way to do this is clear the cache for both xbox's so the updates get deleted and then try it.

I had the same problem a few days ago. MW2 just would not work over System-link, tried a cable between two 360's, both 360's connected to a router, finally just had to play over Live! with both systems less than 10 feet apart. uhh.gif

I have one banned console and one unmodded console. The legit console i play on live and its been updated. Anyway I can download or update the banned console manually by downloading the update on a usb stick or cd? And if so where can I download that?

Go to http://xboxupdates.24.tl and download it. Then copy it to your HDD using a HDD transfer kit (put it in the cache folder).

Sorry to bump a really old thread, but I have the same problem about having one banned 360 that doesn't have the latest MW2 update. That website is now unfortunately down, are there any others?
Thanks.
