Issue With Graphical Homebrew Only
Posted 19 December 2009 - 10:08 PM
By not working, it loads the app and looks fine, but it won't respond to input from controller.
UnleashX, EvoX: works
GTA VC, Serious Sam on the hard drive: works
rRootage, MednafenX, xLime: doesn't work
XBpartioner, LinksBoks (one version), ConfigMagic: works
I soldered pads for the tsop flash, I used xboxhdm to (re)-make my C drive.
Booting from different dashes, and different bios's (x2 5035, 4977 & M7), I am met with fail.

That did it.
Really! I flashed two more bios'es, I googled it ten ways, I tried different dashes and copied the contents of e:/c: from another xbox... inches away from learning how to linux on xbox so I could dmesg...
Anyway, superthanks for the prompt supersolution. Excellentdelicious job, sir, bright sparks of ultrajustice spring forth from your awesome.

Well spotted BTW, Vampx, it wouldn't have occured to me to ask about that.

Also, I got an xbox on an xbox, and they're facing away from me so I can switch cables faster. Seriously, like three days of hobby time spent on this seemingly well documented bug (aka feature).

1 - Program doesn't respond to the pad = your pad is not in controller port #1
2 - it wont boot!! = remove the savegame of the program from your ms dash and reboot.
3 - it won't transfer! = your filenames contain illegal characters, rename it.

3: I wrote a script for that
It's not like I don't rtfm =)

but he had just changed his tv to a 4x3 crt so he asked if i could change the options for him since he couldn't find out how.
So i go to his original xbox dash, and the fucker won't start! just rebooted to xbmc all the time.
then finally i remembered how there's cache in X/Y/Z so i cleared that out,
and right after that the MS Dash did it again!
So i changed his settings to 4x3 and rebooted, NOTHING!
A long story short, turns out he had set his TV to 16x9 >_<
Well atleast the MS Dash works again.
