so i got leisure suit larry on my xbox HD. got the error "game needs orginal disc to play" what ever. googled that found i needed a crack to get it to work without a disc. got the crack. says to replace larry.exe with the one already installed but here is no larry.exe in the game files.

i got the iso and extracted it with qwix. no larry.exe to replace.

i tried replacing the default.xbe with larry.exe renamed but that didnt work at all.

any thoughts?

if it says anything about "EXE" you are reading the wrong guide. "EXE" or "Executable" files are used by Windows, "XBE" or "X-Box Executable" files are used by X-Box. In order to get the game to work you will have to patch the XBE and then swap that with the old XBE. There should be patches online somewhere, google it. Then you would be able to just patch the XBE you have on your PC and FTP it back to your X-Box, or put it on a disk/usb drive.
