Bought a premodified XBR 360 and wrote something to the internal memory, which apparently messed up XBR, so I need to attempt to flash it myself.

There's a permanent cable wired to the 360, with a RJ45 plug termination. I need some sort of cable or adapter to connect that to the LPT port on my PC. I've been trying to find out if a generic adapter will work or if I need a specifically wired one for the 360.

Anyone know where I can get what I need quickly and inexpensively?

After you fix it, to avoid this issue with XBR (until they fix it)

Use xbrflash and zero out the memory above 64 meg in the nand:

livecd Desktop # ./xbrflash -ep

Then your MU shows up as un-formatted in the dash, then you won'y accidentally save to it. (because it does not come up anymore when it is time to choose a save location)

Then when XBR releases an update in the future you can format it then to use.

That is how I have been doing my units lately that I ship out.
