Wich fan do I put to freeze the 120 GB 7200 rpm HD ?

I saw a big one wich is placed in the side of the xbox in the Xbox Scene Tutorial page.
http://www.xbox-scen...rticles/fan.php

Don't this prejudice the xbox original fans that already comes with it ?

Isn't nescessary only that litle fan to put behind the hdd to freeze it ? How much would cost this fan ?

I suggest to simply do the 12v fan...
connect the "stock" xbox fan to the 12V of the HDD...

or you could do the side fan like Martialartist or something like that...

Insted of posting bullshit (thomes08 & trob) which lets face you both posted bollox, why not help the guy out. Yes his use of English isnt the best, but its quite obvious at what he's asking help with.

He wants to know how to add a fan to cool the HDD and if the fan in the tutorial he posted a link to is right for the job and if it will replace the stock case fan.

And LostBrazilian, check out this link below, it should show you EXACTLY what you need to do.

Just cut a whole in the back of the hdd tray, and connect the stock fan to 12v.

By the way, that secondary fan mod, will not do much good. Look at where it will take the air from, there's not much space, so the airflow will be pretty bad.

I know how to install de HD.
The problem is the cooler under the HD.It needs to make an adaptation in the power cable and I don't know how to do it.
If I install the 120 GB 7200 rpm HD i will need a cooler, won't I ?
If I install a 5400 rpm, is the cooler nescessary ?

ok i respect thaty ou have the balls to go in here and speak crappy english, i'm truly intrigued, anyways to the point, i have one of those tiny fans under my 7200 rpm hd and i havent had a problem ever. It does its job and doesn't add so much extra noise that you get with that big fan. the answer to your question is NO you don't NEED a fan, but you SHOULD put one. (notice the CAPS on CERTAIN words)
