I have a buddy that bought a jtagged zephyr that has xbr_3 installed... works fine but does not have the original nand dump. Anyone know of a way to extract the original nand from the xbr image? doesnt seem likely but had to ask...
So say a newer xbr comes out... there is no way to update with out the original nand correct?

when a newer version of xbr is released you still dont need the orig dump all you need is the kv (1 1) & config (3de 2) sections and you can dump them from his current xbr nand

Hi, yes you can update XBR without having the original nand.

If you use LPT....

Just extract the Keyvault in nandpro with nandpro lpt: -r16 rawkv.bin 1 1 and the config with nandpro lpt: -r16 rawconfig.bin 3de 2 then inject them into the latest XBR

There are easier ways which I havent explored yet but anyway you deffo dont need the original nand to update, just the Keyvault and config files.

Ok thats good news... atleast it is upgradeable, now only if someone created a tool to pull kv/config from the nand within the xbox360

LPT will do for now though smile.gif

If it has Xellous installed you can grab the KV from a web browser by putting the Xbox IP address in the address bar (assuming they're networked of course)
