Just wanted to let you know this is great!

Also, i will be making a "clone" of this with the following differences.

1. Slot loading DVD drive (yet to be created on my part)
2. ROL will be left in tact on the front of the casing and I will have the LED's shine through the plexi (by shaving down the spots for it to shine through)
3. Power/Sync/Eject will be touch switches, also hidden behind the plexi (I have yet to see how well a touch sensitive switch will work behind thick plexi)
4. 2 USB ports will be on the Front of the unit, the rear of the unit will have 1 also. (unless I decide to take the plunge and internalize Wifi)

this will not be a jtag console, so it must have a dvd drive and i would also like to keep the ability to use stock HDD's with it (at least by a sort of adaptor cable or something) possibly a smexy "dock" themed the same as the console.

It will have an internalized HDD (250GB) but this will be removable, similar to the 360S (probably not as elegantly done)

Now that you have read this whole thing you can most likely tell "slim" is not a high priority. Looks and functionality is going to be my most important factor in this design.

Thanks for the inspiration!

The Old Gpu heatsinks are quite small you should think about putting heatpipes in it and trying to extend it a bit. well thats what i think anyway.. =]
