well i see people put plexi glas windows in there xboxs all the time but no one has made one entirely out of plexiglas, thats where i come in smile.gif

this is how it is mounted to the bottom sheet of plexi
IPB Image
i have a fan concept of a blower fan that sucks hot air of the cpu and gpu and pushes it to the back of 360 and out of the case
Although i dont know what to do for the CPU side because the case isnt very tall and wont fit the normal heatsink, any help/ideas please:

and dont you worry there is no shortage of leds, this thing is gonna glow like the moon cool.gif

and as for the plexi glas types: it will be white plexi (which light still shines through) all the way around and on bottom, and the top peice will be a peice of clear smile.gif
...wish me luck

Hate to break it to you, but I something like this on another forum about a year ago. It didn't look nice so you can win first nice looking plexiglass case. So far it looks good. Keep it up and you will win

Use the GPU heatsink for the CPU as well, but you would really want to mod the caps to have them out of the way of airflow.

The next issue is that you would want to seal the top of the heatsink and leave the sides exposed so the the turbine fans get the most air through the heatsink fans.

If you can find a 2nd blower just like that I would mod the exhaust duck and sit them side by side.

One thing that would be needed though is some time of duct on top of the heatsinks to make a good seal but again leave the sides exposed.

One issue with taking the air to the middle of the heatsink is that you won't get a good amount of the heat coming from the core of the heatsink. That means the best method to do with those blowers is if you had a duct that covers the top of the heatsinks and then had the air sucked one of the sides, this way the air passes all the way through the heatsinks and you get the most air put through them.

I have ideas for others but nor the time or money for myself sad.gif

Just make sure that whatever you build isn't sealed. You'll want to get in there every few weeks to get the dust out.

I love the idea of clear cases, just not the visual maintenance needed.

you really wont have to yank it open all the time if u put the time in first... proper airflow.. and filters..
make sure you aint blowing in more air than your takin out smile.gif

if ya keep to those rules.. u shouldnt rly have an issue keepin it clean

UPDATE!

Here you go, i have completed about 70% of the screwing of the plexi together...thats about it lol, and came up with a new way of cooling, idk what you say (no offense) i just wanna try it out: tongue.gif

so basically for the cooling im gonna have a piece of plexi right above the heat sinks, i will put the blower fan right above them to suck the hot air off of them and the cool air will come from the sides under the middle plexi sheet...i have a pic that will better explain smile.gif

Wouldn't it be better to have a fan on top of each heatsink?

The blower fan pulls more air than those 2 fans combine! lol

one blower is enough, it should probably be a 120mm rather then the 80mm he has tho.

i hope this is a jtaged box (looks like it is from the 1tb hdd you got there smile.gif ) so you can monitor the actual temps of the procs, you will probably have to run that fan at 12v to keep the console under 140F...assuming its a falcon (its either a falcon or jasper).

looks good, keep us updated.
