I would like to update the system to 9199 to play some 2010 backups.
Will it cripple/brick the 250 WD HDD or make it unable to play backups if I flash 79FL to stock then update then flash 79FL to jungleFlashers 174b iXtreme 1.51 again? TY

System updates are completely independent of the drive and its custom firmware.

Go ahead and update to your hearts content without fear of it blocking your drive from loading backups.

Works so good. Thank you for the help.

I removed the HDD just in case and
installed the USB in the back slot,
it was formatted with Fat32 and I put on the 9199
system update to the root of the USB from this link
http://forums.xbox-s...o...710739&st=0
The 360 didn't even need to have the HDD hooked up.
My system is a non-live play only and working fantastic
with the new update.
Thank you.
